Employee safety and health

For the protection of our employees

Occupational safety and promotion of employee health go hand in hand in the Rudolph Logistics Group. In both areas our motto is: "Take action before something happens." In the area of occupational safety and health we are certified in accordance with DIN ISO 45001.

OCcupational safety

Consistent and continuing measures to ensure occupational safety have a top priority at our company. Internal and external experts for occupational safety work closely together to ensure good protection for our employees. We comply with all relevant legal requirements. It is also important that the company officers and qualified persons responsible for occupational safety, fire protection, first aid and hazardous materials receive further training on an ongoing basis.

Our measures for occupational safety

  • We conduct Safety Days on a regular basis and alert employees about potential risks
  • Company tours focusing on safety, tidiness and cleanliness are regular agenda points
  • We develop emergency concepts on a proactive basis and do risk assessments
  • Regular exercises consolidate safety knowledge and practices
  • We have in-house trainers in the field of vehicle and forklift operation
  • Betriebsvereinbarungen zum Arbeitsschutz.

For us, occupational safety means identifying risks and avoiding them – for the protection of employees’ health.

Health management

Everyone wants to be healthy and fit for life. We support our employees in handling their work tasks effectively with good concentration and energy.

Our health concept rests on three pillars: Nutrition, Relaxation and Movement. (In german Ernährung, Entspannung und Bewegung) Thus the name the "E²B approach".

Our health-promoting measures at a glance:

  • We conduct regular Health Days at the locations of the Rudolph Logistics Group. On these occasions, the focus is on providing truly practical tips for staying in motion during the typical working day. For employees doing their jobs at a computer that might mean doing eye yoga for relaxation. And in the warehouse employers find out how to make their forklifts into a fitness studio: muscle exercises that drivers can do in their seats, stretching with elastic bands attached to the vehicle's fork, or tips about ways to get onto the forklift that are easy on the back.
  • In addition, there's expert advice on other subjects such as healthy nutrition or how to gain energy through targeted relaxation techniques.

  • Our company soccer team has a long tradition. Active for more than 15 years, the team was the regional champion and trophy winner in 2014.
  • In addition, the Rudolph Logistics Group supports individual athletic activity, e.g. through discounted offerings at sports clubs or fitness studios.

Our health management program is complemented by useful preventive measures:

  • Flu vaccinations
  • Medical check-up G25 for forklift drivers (mandatory)
  • Medical check-up G37 for employees doing screen-based computer work (optional)
  • Ergonomic design of workplaces
  • Reintegration program following illness
  • Screening programmes or preventative check-ups
